It’s always worth contacting us if you have any issues with your fees, we’ll always do our best to help you continue your membership. Our union’s stronger with you as a member!
Check out some of the most common scenarios below.
Have you recently joined UWU?
There are some common issues that come up for new members. We might have your account number or BSB recorded incorrectly, or the account type you’ve selected may not be compatible.
If you bank with CommBank, you can only have your union fees direct debited from “Smart Access” accounts.
Make sure your union fees come out of your account the day after pay day. You can change this by calling our membership team from 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday on 02 8204 3001 or by emailing [email protected]
Been a member for a while, and you pay union fees from your bank account or credit card?
There are lots of reasons why your union fees might not have gone through. Some common reasons include:
- Lost, stolen or replaced card
- Insufficient funds in your account (if you’d like to change the day your union fees come out of your account to fit better with your pay day, call us on 02 8204 3001 to let us know. Or send us an email at [email protected])
- Bank error
- You’re using a CommBank Net Saver account – they only allow inbound payments not direct debits.
Do your union fees come out of your pay through your employer?
If you pay your fees through ‘payroll deduction’ you might need to contact your employer to ask them to fix the issue.
